Plant Manager – Bornem, Belgium

This global group is a fast-growing multinational product business focused on both professional and retail markets. There are over 650 employees spread across 16 sites in the UK, US and Europe.

We are looking for an ambitious Plant Manager with a strong supply chain background, and a positive, ‘can-do attitude’ to support the site General Manager and wider Operations and Supply Chain functions.

The Plant Manager will initially focus on a key stabilisation and transformation project at the Bornem site (circa 35 production / warehousing staff), before focusing on continuous improvements aspects of the site.

Immediate Requirements:

·Lead Operational / Production / Warehouse Teams

·SAP ERP Implementation

·Develop and enhance the “Demand Planning Process”

·Lead and motivate the team through challenging process change

·Work with other stakeholders – procurement, finance, sales etc to streamline site activities

Plant Manager candidate requirements:

·Significant experience in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment (high level SKU’s) with associated warehouse / distribution processes

·ERP implementation experience, ideally SAP or similar

·Strong understanding of Demand Planning

·Lean and continuous improvement skills – e.g. Green belt and above

·Strong team building and team management experience

·Experience of dealing first-hand with customers and suppliers

·Demonstrated experience of problem-solving techniques

·Membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous

Dutch speaker required.
