QHSE Advisor

Excellent opportunity for a QHSE Advisor to make the next step into quality, health, safety and environmental management, within a manufacturing environment. You will be mentored by the previous QHSE Manager (now Operations Manager) in order to further develop your career.

Our client is part of an expanding global group, with a manufacturing site in Consett employing c80 staff.

This is a customer facing role, so would suit someone who enjoys balancing the needs of the customer and business.

The QHSE Advisor will ensure that the site is fully compliant with EHS legal requirements and conforms to Standards and Certifications for now and into the future.

The QHSE Advisor will manage the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of management systems, business and operational systems in line with goals and objectives.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Implement, maintain and improve Management, Process and Product Standards in line with objectives including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO14001
  • Support development of site culture which puts Health & Safety, Quality and Customer Focus at the centre of daily activities
  • Develop and implement strategies for HSE and Quality Improvements.

The QHSE Candidate:

  • NEBOSH
  • Scientific of Engineering qualification / background
  • Knowledge of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and best practice
  • Excellent problem solving skills (e.g. 8D)
  • Experience of QHSE within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of Quality, Health & Safety Management systems
  • Internal and External auditing
  • Experience of managing customer and stakeholder relationships and related projects in line with agreed deliverables
  • Continuous improvement driven
  • Full UK driving licence
