Gas Heating and Plumbing Workshop Technician required at a unique training facility in Chatham, Kent. The Workshop Technician will provide practical support to the Gas Heating and Plumbing teaching department.

The Gas Heating & Plumbing Workshop Technician role:
To exercise good and safe workshop practice, meet regularly with teaching staff, instructors and assessors to provide assistance where required. Monitor and register attendance of students in workshops, assist teaching staff and instructors with the supervision, training and assessment of students including monitoring. Invigilating assessments, recording and reporting progress as required (on the job training will be given for assessment processes). Maintain and manage all gas appliances within the department across boilers, fires, cookers and water heaters. In addition, managing tools and equipment used by students.
Additional experience to support your application:
- CCN1 Domestic Gas Qualified with Appliances HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT1 & CPA1
- Experience relevant to gas heating and plumbing trade
- IOSH Health & Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this within first year of employment
- Have an interest in the development of students and willingness to assist in their learning
- IT literate
