NET Qualified AM2 Exam Assessor required in Gillingham / Maidstone, Kent.

Our client is one of the largest further education colleges in Kent, offering excellent career prospects and benefits.

They have an opportunity for an experienced, qualified Electrical Assessor – duties will include – Undertake AM2 testing as per NET requirements, delivering high quality assessments, managing the AM2 centre accreditation, NET Compliance, AM2 centre organisation, testing/reporting and ordering materials to ensure the smooth running of centre on a daily basis.

The successful applicant will be seen as an expert in their field, proactive with excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate an ability to deliver high quality assessment in this curriculum area. Candidates must hold suitable Assessing qualifications and have experience in the vocational sector.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification at NVQ Level 3 Installing & commissioning electrical systems & equipment – Essential
  • Qualification relating to knowledge and understanding of the current edition of the BS requirements for electrical installations – Essential
  • Qualification relating to the inspection, testing and certification requirements of the current edition of British standards – Essential
  • Post 16 teaching qualification (Cert Ed, DTLLS) or working towards – Desirable


Qualified to Assess up to L3 curriculum
Previous experience of course leadership responsibilities
Able to engage and inspire students at all levels
Uses information and communication technology for both assessing and administrative duties.
Innovative approach to assessment.
Effectively engages with external industry organisations and employers to support the curriculum and student experience


Willingness to work towards Verifiers awards
Level 2 qualification in IT or significant relevant experience.
First aid certificate which is compliant with the 1981 First Aid Regulations or be willing to work towards.
