| Product Support Engineer - Electrical Components Job Code: TP1148 Location: Hastings Salary: £Neg + Benefits Our client designs and manufactures electrical components and connectors for harsh environments. Based near Hastings they have an immediate requirement for a Product Support Engineer to provide Customers, Sales and Marketing and other departments where appropriate, with a technical and commercial support service central to the companys range of Defence and Aerospace products. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE: A Formal Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree) Knowledge of Harsh Environment Components Marketing or Sales Administrations experience Proficient use of Microsoft Office Product, in particular, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access Visual Basic skills would be an advantage Proven Organisational Experience MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: To be the focal point for Fibre Optic product support within the marketing department. To be responsible for maintaining electronic and hard copy records of enquiries and quotations and produce reports as required by the Marketing department. To provide Technical and Commercial assistance to customers, Marketing and other internal departments for all product ranges. To assist in providing information for bids and quotation as directed by the Product Managers and Head of Marketing & Commercial Manager. To produce and maintain product price lists and monitor contribution under guidance from the Product Manager. To obtain costing and lead time information through estimating, planning and purchasing functions To assist in the preparation and maintenance of marketing information (data sheets, literature, presentations etc.) as directed by the Product Manager. To be the Marketing liaison with the Project Management Department ensuring the efficient handling of Business Case documents in line with Project Management procedures. Under the guidance of the Product Manager, to prepare and report Monthly order forecasts. To Create estimates and attain lead-time / Cost information through planning & purchasing functions. To contribute towards customer visits at company and customer facilities under guidance from The Head of Marketing & Commercial Manager. With the Product Support group, to Create and Maintain the competitor and platform database under guidance from The Head of Marketing Observe COSHH regulations and company procedures at all times in order that safety levels may be maintained.
